The collector features a standard RS485 interface and gateway, enabling data conversion into MODBUS_RTU or MODBUS_TCP protocols for seamless integration with intelligent instruments using the HART protocol.

Utilizing the Bell202 Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) standard, the device allows for bidirectional data transmission by superimposing a modulated digital signal onto the standard 4 to 20 mA analog signal without interference. The SM100-M series serves as a highly intelligent converter for the modulation and demodulation of digital and analog signals.
